Gea Russell began his career in music in the late 80s as part of experimental hip hop group 3:6 Philly. He later studied and worked as a sound engineer at the Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies, Nottingham, England. In the late 90s he founded Rub Recordings record label and recording studio, which is now also active as an artist booking agency. Gea is currently the curator of The Writer's Bench live events, which are held in several European cities. He has directed and produced several music videos and documentaries along side his on going career as a recording artist and dj.
